The Indian contingent at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya opened competition on Tuesday with events in surfing, shooting, and kurash. Shooters Kynan Chenai, Ahvar Rizvi, and Shapath Bharadwaj took part in the men's trap team final, while Neeru, Manisha Keer, and Aashima Ahlawat contested the women's trap team final. Surfer Anbarasu Kishore Kumar competed against the Philippines' Toby Espejon in the men's shortboard quarterfinal heat. Indian athletes also featured in recurve archery elimination rounds and kurash round of 16 matches.
