India’s External Affairs Ministry spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, stated that the Pakistani ship’s actions were in gross violation of international maritime regulations and the bilateral agreement. Pakistan had previously accused Indian forces of aggressive maneuvers, but India rejected these claims, calling them ‘prevarication.’ The collision did not cause major damage to INS Kolkata, which remains operational.
