India-Born Cheetah KGP12 Gives Birth To Four Cubs At Kuno

Female cheetah KGP12, born in India, delivered four cubs on September 18 at Kuno National Park in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh. This event marks the second instance of an Indian-born female cheetah successfully giving birth within the park. Forest officials are currently monitoring the cubs from a distance to ensure their survival and adaptation. With these new additions, the total number of cheetahs born and surviving in India has reached 36. The project, which began in 2022, currently hosts 53 cheetahs at Kuno, with plans to expand to the Rani Durgavati Tiger Reserve.
