Ryan Williams put India ahead in the 41st minute by latching onto a through ball and beating goalkeeper Marcos Reyes. Panama equalised in the 68th minute when Omar Valencia struck a long-range shot past Gurpreet Singh Sandhu that dipped into the top-right corner. India fielded a starting lineup featuring Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Anwar Ali, and Manvir Singh, while Panama countered with players like Jimenez Ameth and Blackman Rodolfo. India came close to winning late in the game through sustained attacking pressure from substitute Jay Gupta and Sahal, but the defence held firm.
