India Rescues Two Crew Members From Distressed Cargo Ship in Bay of Bengal

India launched search-and-rescue operations for the cargo ship MV OCEAN WINNER in the Bay of Bengal following a distress alert received on Aug. 22. The vessel carried a total of 24 crew members when the alert was issued. By late evening, rescue teams had successfully saved two individuals from the crew. The Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard are actively continuing search operations to locate the remaining missing crew members.
