India’s fourth-place run at a multi-sport event reached three within five hours at the Asian Games. Anantjeet Singh Naruka placed fourth in the men’s skeet final after qualifying on 119 points and missing two shots in the first series of four. Razia Dhillon finished fourth after missing two shots across her first two series, while Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh and Suruchi Singh also took fourth in the women’s 10m air pistol team event. The Indian trio scored 1,719 points, level with bronze medallists Vietnam, but Vietnam recorded two more inner 10s. Anantjeet, Razia and the air pistol trio had already won team medals, including bronze for the men’s skeet and women’s skeet teams.
