India's Infrastructure Projects Significantly Reduce Travel Times

India's ongoing infrastructure development is cutting travel times across several major corridors, according to a recent government factsheet. The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is expected to reduce travel time between the two cities to approximately 12 hours, down from 33 hours. Other operational projects include the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, which now takes 50 minutes, and the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, which has shortened travel to 75 minutes. Additionally, the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor and the Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi Mahamarg have significantly improved connectivity. New bridge projects in the Northeast and Bihar are also bypassing difficult terrain to reduce transit times.
