· India · India Today, Times of India, News18
Himanshu Bhau, alias Himanshu Ritoliya, was arrested in the US by the FBI on October 24, 2026, after India had sought his extradition through an Interpol Red Notice issued in August 2023. The 24-year-old from Ritoli village in Rohtak district, Haryana, faces 18 criminal cases including murder, attempted murder, extortion, and forgery registered in Delhi and Haryana. Police say he built a criminal network operating across Delhi-NCR, Haryana and Punjab while remaining abroad, and is linked to the Neeraj Bawana gang. His arrest ends a years-long manhunt involving the NIA, Delhi Police and Haryana Police.
Why it matters
His arrest disrupts a high-profile inter-state gang network and ends a major fugitive manhunt, offering relief to law-enforcement agencies across Delhi, Haryana and Punjab who were pursuing him in multiple murder and extortion cases.
