India's Outward FDI Jumps 17% to $5.7 Billion in July: RBI

India's outward foreign direct investment rose 17% year-on-year to $5.70 billion in July from $4.88 billion a year earlier, according to provisional Reserve Bank of India data. The figures also marked an increase from the $3.14 billion recorded in June. Equity commitments outside India surged to $2.01 billion in July compared to $776 million in the previous month. Loans extended to overseas subsidiaries doubled to $876 million from $433 million a year ago. Outward FDI commitments include equity, loans, and guarantees, with equity outflows led by Quest Global Engineering Solutions at $664 million.
