India, Uzbekistan agree to deepen cooperation in trade, digital connectivity among other key sectors

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held delegation-level talks with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Kuksaroy Presidential Palace in Tashkent. The two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen the strategic partnership, covering trade and investment, digital connectivity, defence, and energy. Prime Minister Modi is on a two-day state visit to Uzbekistan from August 29 to 30 at the invitation of President Mirziyoyev. During the visit, the Prime Minister also attended a yoga session hosted by the Yoga Federation of Uzbekistan. Additionally, he visited Yangi Uzbekistan Park and laid a wreath at the Independence Monument.

The bilateral talks aim to advance shared developmental visions and expand economic and strategic ties between India and Central Asia.
