India Welcomes 200+ Japanese Firms for UP‑Japan Investment Meet 2026

The UP‑Japan Investment Meet 2026 will run from 18‑23 August in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, gathering more than 200 Japanese business leaders and policymakers. The four‑day programme is hosted by Invest UP and is open for talks on manufacturing, clean energy, semiconductors, digital infrastructure, skill development and tourism, with a focus on FDI into Uttar Pradesh. The delegation is headed by Kotaro Nagasaki, governor of Yamanashi Prefecture, and the opening ceremony on 18 August will be attended by Union Minister Piyush Goyal and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Separate match‑making sessions will take place in Lucknow, Agra, Greater Noida and Varanasi, while a CEO roundtable on 19 August will involve Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The state also plans a dedicated “Japanese City” on 500 acres in YEIDA to further deepen ties.
