Indian Army to Deploy Six AASHVAST Labs for Cybersecurity Screening

The Indian Army is establishing six AASHVAST labs across the country to conduct mandatory cybersecurity inspections of its drones and CCTV cameras. The initiative aims to identify and eliminate foreign-origin components and firmware-level vulnerabilities that could compromise operational security in contested zones. Developed by QuickPay Pvt Ltd for the Directorate General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, the AASHVAST suite performs deep software analysis beyond physical hardware checks. One facility is already operational in Delhi, with five additional labs planned for deployment in the coming months. This project aligns with the national Atmanirbhar Bharat vision to strengthen the domestic defence ecosystem and enhance cyber resilience.
