Indian-origin climber Dhrubajyoti Guha and his Nepalese guide, Fursemba Sherpa, were killed in an avalanche at Camp 3 on Mount Manaslu. The two men were found buried in their tent after they continued their ascent despite deteriorating weather conditions that caused other climbers to turn back. Guha, 47, was a mechanical engineer and ultra-endurance athlete based in Germany. Expedition organizers stated that high avalanche risk and continuous snowfall have currently prevented the retrieval of the bodies.
