Indian Railways to Introduce AC Coaches in Amrit Bharat 3.0

Indian Railways is set to launch air-conditioned coaches in the upcoming Amrit Bharat 3.0 Express trains within the current financial year. These trains will feature push-pull technology, enabling speeds of up to 130 kmph and faster acceleration. The upgrade aims to provide premium amenities, such as improved seating, modern toilets, and USB charging ports, to common passengers. Currently, over 60 Amrit Bharat trains are operational, with high demand evidenced by occupancy rates exceeding 100% in sleeper classes. ICF Chennai and RCF Kapurthala are currently manufacturing the new rakes to expand the network.
