IndusInd Bank rises 2% after Q2. What brokerages say
· Business · Economic Times, LiveMint
IndusInd Bank shares climbed 2% to Rs 853 on the BSE following the release of its second-quarter results for FY27. The private lender reported a net profit of Rs 1,176 crore for the quarter ending September 2027, recovering from a net loss of Rs 445 crore during the same period last year. Asset quality showed improvement as gross non-performing assets fell to 2.73% from 3.6% a year earlier. Despite the positive earnings, Jefferies lowered its target price for the bank to Rs 1,130, citing shifts in credit cost expectations. Meanwhile, Motilal Oswal maintained a neutral stance on the stock with a target price of Rs 1,050.
Why it matters
The bank's improved asset quality and return to profitability signal a potential recovery in its financial health, though brokerage caution over credit costs suggests lingering concerns for investors monitoring the banking sector.
