Starting September 1, international passengers departing from India will no longer be required to have their boarding passes stamped at immigration counters. The Bureau of Immigration has notified all international airport operators and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) of this policy change. Passengers may now present e-boarding passes for immigration clearance, though physical passes will still be accepted without stamps. Officials stated the move aims to reduce passenger inconvenience and eliminate errors caused by incorrect stamping. The decision follows an internal communication issued by the Foreigners Regional Registration Officer in Delhi.
