Apple announced that iOS 27 will be released widely on Monday, September 14, following its reveal during the iPhone 18 Pro event. The update will be available via the Settings app under General and Software Update. The headline feature is Siri AI, a ChatGPT-like assistant that can handle advanced requests, use on-screen awareness, and access personal information stored on the device. Siri AI requires an iPhone 15 Pro or newer and is initially limited to English, with availability delayed in the EU due to regulatory disputes. Additional updates include new Extend and Reframe options in the Photos app, photorealistic image generation in Image Playground, and a refined Liquid Glass interface design.
