The new model starts at $699 for the 128GB Wi-Fi version and $849 with cellular connectivity, while the prior-generation A17 Pro model is now discontinued. Key upgrades include a Super Retina XDR OLED display with 1-nit minimum brightness and 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and IP67 water and dust resistance. Both models share the same storage capacities, advertised battery life, Touch ID authentication, and USB-C transfer speeds.
Why it matters
Buyers upgrading from the 2024 model gain a significantly brighter OLED screen and durable water resistance, but pay a $200 premium over the discontinued A17 Pro variant which offered similar core specifications.
