The feature relies on a Sony IMX905 sensor with variable aperture support, as indicated by leaked internal files from Apple supplier Tata Electronics originating in June. This marks a departure from previous models, such as the iPhone 14 Pro through iPhone 17 Pro, which utilized a fixed ƒ/1.78 aperture main camera.
