ISRO Opens 176 Scientist, Engineer Posts; Apply by September 16

ISRO has invited applications for 176 Scientist/Engineer 'SC' posts across its Centres and the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL). Of the total, 100 are in Electronics, 53 in Mechanical and 23 in Computer Science, all classified as Group 'A' roles on Level 10 of the pay matrix. Candidates need a BE/BTech or equivalent in the relevant discipline, with at least 65% marks or a CGPA of 6.84, and the upper age limit is 28 years as on September 16, 2026. Applications must be submitted online through the official ISRO portal by 11:55 pm on September 16, with a Rs 250 fee and an initial Rs 750 processing payment. Age relaxation applies to categories including Central Government employees, ex-servicemen and PwBD candidates.
Why it matters
This is one of ISRO's larger annual engineering intakes and a direct opportunity for India's electronics, mechanical and computer science graduates to enter the space programme on Group 'A' pay scales, with applications closing in under three weeks.
