· World · Hindustan Times, Zee News
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated on Saturday that India-Bangladesh relations must meet the test of mutual interest and that he does not expect neighbours to act solely in India's favour. Speaking at the Economic Times World Leaders Forum, Jaishankar addressed questions regarding Dhaka linking Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's visit to New Delhi with the extradition of former premier Sheikh Hasina. He declined to detail ongoing bilateral discussions on Hasina's extradition but emphasized the importance of finding common ground.
