Jaishankar to Visit Russia for Trade and Cooperation Talks

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will visit Russia on August 23-24 to co-chair the 27th Session of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission. The visit, at the invitation of First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, will focus on trade, economic, scientific, and cultural cooperation. Jaishankar is also scheduled to meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to discuss regional and global issues. This trip follows Jaishankar's previous visit to Moscow last year for Shanghai Cooperation Organisation meetings.
