JD(U) Opposes Implementing Uniform Civil Code in Bihar

The Janata Dal (United) is opposed to implementing the Uniform Civil Code in Bihar, despite the party's support for the UCC Bill in Parliament. Senior leader Shyam Rajak stated that the party's stance remains consistent with the position previously articulated by Nitish Kumar. While the JD(U) shares power with the BJP in the state, party leaders maintain that the implementation of the code in Bihar is not under consideration. Working president Sanjay Jha announced that party representatives will soon meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the issue further.
