Jemimah Rodrigues Declared Fit After Three-Month Hamstring Injury Recovery

· Sports · Times of India, Sportstar, NDTV Sports

India top-order batter Jemimah Rodrigues announced on Friday that she has fully recovered from the hamstring injury sustained in August while playing for the Southern Brave in The Hundred. The injury forced her out of the T20 Asia Cup in the UAE, the Asian Games in Japan, and the home white-ball series against Zimbabwe. After three months of rehabilitation overseen by the BCCI medical team, the 26-year-old confirmed her return to fitness on Instagram. Her recovery coincides with the first anniversary of her unbeaten 127 against Australia in the 2025 Women's ODI World Cup semi-final at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The Indian women's team is scheduled for a multi-format tour of South Africa in December, and Rodrigues is also eligible to represent Mumbai in the ongoing Senior Women's T20 Trophy.

Why it matters

Her return strengthens the Indian batting lineup ahead of the upcoming tour of South Africa and domestic fixtures.
