Jharkhand Government releases list of 44 recruitment exams cancelled due to irregularities

The Jharkhand Government announced the cancellation of 44 state recruitment examinations on August 18, 2026, citing irregularities uncovered in the selection process. The list includes centralised JPSC and outsourced work by TSR Data Processing Private Limited, covering posts such as drug inspectors, assistant professors, deputy collectors, dental doctors, assistant engineers, civil judges, additional public prosecutors, forest range officers and other administrative roles. After a cabinet meeting on August 17, Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed the media at the Project Building in Ranchi to confirm the decision, which also includes suspending JPSC‑JSSC exam papers. The government will file a request to the High Court for a fast‑track court to hear cases related to the irregularities, and it will set up an internal vigilance cell while a reform committee headed by IAS officer Amitabh Kaushal will submit a report in two months.
