Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) senior leader and minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu died of a heart attack on Sunday in Ranchi, the state capital. Kumar was the legislator from Giridih and held multiple portfolios, including higher and technical education, urban development, tourism, arts, culture, sports and youth affairs. The JMM expressed shock over his death, calling him a dedicated party worker and describing the loss as irreparable for the party, the government and Jharkhand. The party posted its condolence on X.
