Domestic investment banks dominated the equity fundraising sector in the first half of FY27, driven by a surge in IPOs and qualified institutional placements. JM Financial claimed the top spot by managing 26 transactions worth Rs 75,775 crore between April and September, according to Prime Database data. ICICI Securities secured second place with 21 deals totaling Rs 73,310 crore, followed by SBI Capital Markets with 11 transactions valued at Rs 72,879 crore. Overall equity fundraising rose by 40% to nearly Rs 1.7 lakh crore, while the total number of IPOs and QIPs increased to 116 from 85 in the year-ago period. This growth highlights robust activity and strong capital mobilization within the domestic investment banking industry.
