· Business · LiveMint, Zee News, ANI
Kanan Bahl, founder of Fingrowth Media, declined a ₹36 lakh tax‑free job offer from Dubai seven years ago. He cited the offer as the highest ICAI campus placement at that time and said he could have saved about ₹20 lakh a year there. Bahl said he could not find a job in India that paid more than ₹12 lakh a year, so he chose to stay close to family and culture. In a recent X post, he stated he does not regret the decision and that the career he has built in India is now far more lucrative than the Dubai offer would have been. He added a patriotic note, urging India to improve while recalling his family’s history of refuge after 1947.
