IAS officer Gnanendra Kumar has been located in his hometown after his reported disappearance triggered a search operation in Bengaluru. Although he had applied for leave, the application was not communicated to the relevant officials in time due to holidays. His absence was compounded by his unavailability on his official phone, leading to confusion within the department. Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge confirmed that the officer has since communicated with the government regarding his whereabouts.
