Karnataka Judge Recuses From Hearing Bengaluru Gym Trainer Murder Case

Justice Vishwajit Shetty of the Karnataka High Court recused himself from hearing the anticipatory bail petitions of a real estate businessman and an advocate accused of hiring a contract killer to murder a Bengaluru gym trainer. The gym trainer, Vijay Kumar, was found dead on June 9 after going missing on June 6. The accused, K Prasad Rao and advocate B Lokesh, are accused of orchestrating the murder to end Kumar's relationship with Rao's daughter. The advocate allegedly received Rs 25 lakh from the realtor to arrange the killing. The judge commented that he did not want to be part of these dirty things.
