Karnataka Youth Wins Silver and Best of Nation at World Skills Competition in Shanghai

Nine candidates from Karnataka secured international honours at the 48th World Skills Competition in Shanghai, China. The team won one silver medal, the prestigious ‘Best of Nation’ trophy for India, and eight Medallions of Excellence across four skill categories. Smriti Nambiar earned the silver in Bakery and the ‘Best of Nation’ award for India. Medallions were awarded in Additive Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Mechatronics, Electrical Installations, and Robot Systems Integration. Karnataka sent a contingent of 16 candidates as part of Team India. Sharan Prakash Patil, Minister for Medical Education and Skill Development, praised their performance.
