Keerthy Suresh revealed she bunked her Class 11 exams to meet Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of Bollywood film Billu during her school days. Filmmaker Priyadarshan convinced her father, producer G Suresh Kumar, to let her enter the film industry by indirectly persuading him to agree. Keerthy's acting debut came with Priyadarshan's Geethaanjali opposite Mohanlal, which she credits as a perfect introduction to cinema. Her sister also worked with Shah Rukh Khan's production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, and on Priyadarshan's film Billu.
