Kerala Government Announces State Teachers’ Awards and Srestha Vidyalaya Puraskaram

The Keralam government has announced the winners of the State Teachers’ Awards for the year alongside the newly launched Srestha Vidyalaya Puraskaram for the best schools in the State. Minister for General Education N. Samsudheen announced that the teachers' awards will be distributed across five categories spanning lower primary, upper primary, high school, higher secondary, and vocational higher secondary levels. Among the winners in the lower primary head teacher category are Abdul Azees I from Malappuram, M.G. Geethamma and Susan Kuruvila from Pathanamthitta, Joshi D. Kollannur from Thrissur, and Kannan S. from Kollam. The newly introduced Srestha Vidyalayam Puraskaram, established under the State government's 100-day programme, honours top institutions in primary and secondary categories. The awards will be formally presented to the recipients in Kozhikode on September 5.
