Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju slammed Congress leader Pawan Khera on Tuesday for making indecent comments about a video showing Rijiju swimming in Arunachal Pradesh. Rijiju stated on X that he has fought eight elections while Khera is a first-term Rajya Sabha MP nominated by his party. Rijiju explained that he swims with villagers in raging local rivers to inspire his people and followers rather than taking professional training. Khera had earlier mocked the minister for invoking Lok Sabha opposition leader Rahul Gandhi during the swimming video. Rijiju also threatened to report Khera's indiscipline conduct to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
