A Ganesh Puja pandal in Kolkata's Baguiati area has created a buzz ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi 2026 by featuring an 11-foot idol and a 3D contrast wall. Organised by the Executive Palace Apartment Owners Association along VIP Road, the theme is titled Parivartan towards a developed Bengal with a double-engine government. The venue features a 10 ft by 10 ft 3D contrast wall that contrasts pre-May 4 challenges, such as the RG Kar movement and Lionel Messi's Kolkata visit, with post-May 4 progress like the New Delhi-New Jalpaiguri bullet train and industrial expansion. Association secretary Ankit Agarwal stated that the presentation aims to showcase the journey from challenges to possibilities under the BJP government's initial four months. The 11-foot idol, crafted by artist Mintu Pal, depicts Ganesha dressed in a white kurta and orange pagdi with six divine hands symbolising structural pillars for state development.
