· Automobile · RushLane, ZigWheels

KTM India has launched the updated 200 Duke at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.09 lakh, with units arriving at dealerships ahead of formal deliveries. The motorcycle receives its most significant upgrade to date, headlined by the introduction of electronic throttle, bi-directional quickshifter, and traction control. Riders can now utilize two selectable ride modes, Rain and Street, supported by revised switchgear borrowed from the larger 390 Duke. The model retains its core 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, generating 25 PS of peak power and 19.3 Nm of torque through a six-speed gearbox. Chassis hardware continues to feature WP Apex USD front forks, a 320 mm front disc with radially mounted callipers, dual-channel ABS with SuperMoto mode, and a 150-section rear radial tyre.

Why it matters

The updated KTM 200 Duke brings premium electronic rider aids like traction control and ride-by-wire to the sub-250cc performance motorcycle segment in India.
