Ladakh Unveils World's Highest Twin Flower Fields in Leh

Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena inaugurated the world's highest twin flower fields in Leh on Thursday, marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 76th birthday. The 40-acre project, located at Choglamsar and Stakna at an altitude of 10,600ft, features 25 lakh high-value flowers including Lilium and Gladiolus. The administration developed the Choglamsar site in two months to diversify local agriculture and create new livelihood opportunities. The gardens open to the public on September 18 with an entry fee of Rs 25 for adults and Rs 10 for children. The site will also serve as a training and model floriculture centre for local youth and farmers.
