Lifeboat Found, 22 Sailors Still Missing Off Odisha Coast

The Indian Coast Guard has located a lifeboat belonging to the sunken cargo vessel MV Ocean Winner, but no survivors were found on board. The ship, which was carrying 72,000 tonnes of iron ore to China, sank approximately 230 nautical miles from the Paradip coast of Odisha. ICGS Varad also recovered an emergency position-indicating radio beacon associated with the vessel. Search and rescue operations are ongoing with coordination from the Maritime Search and Rescue Centre of China. The 24-member crew consisted of 20 Chinese nationals, three from Myanmar, and one from Bangladesh.
