Parts of Delhi received light rainfall early Sunday, providing some relief from the recent heat and humidity. The India Meteorological Department recorded 1 mm of rain in the capital between 8:30 pm Saturday and 8:30 am Sunday. Temperatures in the city were reported between 26°C and 27°C as of Sunday morning. While the capital experienced light showers, the weather agency has predicted heavy rainfall for several other states, including Uttarakhand, Bihar, and Odisha, through August 28.
