Belsand MLA Amit Kumar Ranu has been named in 10 FIRs within 10 days following allegations of land-grabbing in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. A retired government official filed the latest complaint, accusing the legislator of using forged documents to fraudulently transfer 70 decimals of ancestral land. Police investigations revealed that the land was mutated in the name of the MLA's brother, Sonu Kumar, and two other associates. The Muzaffarpur police previously searched the MLA's residence on August 23 as part of a broader probe into the forcible demolition of houses and illegal land occupation.
