Swiss peripherals manufacturer Logitech has started assembling personal work solutions, including mice and webcams, at a facility in Manesar, Gurugram. The move marks the company's seventh manufacturing footprint globally as it works to diversify production away from China. Delphine Donné, vice president and general manager of Personal Work Solutions at Logitech, stated that establishing local manufacturing in India will provide greater agility and reduce transportation times. Chief supply chain operations officer Sree Chenincherry noted that the company is collaborating with multiple partners for the assembly operations. The exact name of the contract manufacturer involved has not been disclosed.
Why it matters
