Indian boxer Lovlina Borgohain secured a silver medal in the women's 75kg category at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Chennai on Saturday. Competing with a heavily strapped left knee, the Olympic bronze medallist lost the final 1-4 on points to Australia's Emma-Sue Greentree. This marked Lovlina's first Commonwealth Games medal and the seventh overall medal for the Indian boxing contingent at this edition. In the earlier rounds, she had received a bye in the quarterfinals before defeating Tuvalu's Tarona Taafaki 5-0 in the semifinals.
