LPG Price Hike: 19-kg Commercial Cylinder Costs Rs 62.50 More

· Business · Times of India, Indian Express, LiveMint

The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder increased by Rs 62.50 from October 1, 2026, raising the cost to Rs 2,810. This follows a Rs 9.50 increase in September, when the cylinder was priced at Rs 2,747.50. ATF prices also rose by around Rs 16 per litre, from Rs 121 to Rs 137 per litre. From October 1, 2026, domestic LPG users must complete Biometric Aadhaar Authentication (BAA) to book refills at subsidised rates. Consumers can complete BAA via delivery agents, distributor showrooms, or OMC apps like IndianOil ONE, HelloBPCL, and HP PAY.

Why it matters

Commercial users face higher fuel costs immediately, affecting industries reliant on LPG. Domestic subscribers must now complete biometric verification to retain LPG subsidy, adding a step to refill booking while preventing diversion and duplication.
