Luke Williams has been appointed head coach of Mumbai Indians ahead of the 2027 Women's Premier League season following Lisa Keightley's departure. Williams previously led Royal Challengers Bengaluru to their maiden WPL title in 2024. He served as RCB's head coach in 2024 and also coached Adelaide Strikers in the Women's Big Bash League. The franchise confirmed Keightley's exit on Thursday after Mumbai Indians finished fourth in the 2026 WPL season. Williams will begin his tenure by finalising the retention list before the September 28 deadline.
