Karnataka Minister M.B. Patil has condemned the recent Directorate of Enforcement searches on his Cabinet colleague Satish Jarkiholi, calling the action a political vendetta by the Union government. Speaking in Belagavi on Friday, Mr. Patil stated that raids were conducted at the Bengaluru and Gokak residences of Mr. Jarkiholi and his aides, including his son Rahul and daughter Priyanka. He asserted that the Congress party will not bow down to intimidation or the weaponisation of federal agencies like the ED, IT, and CBI. The Minister confirmed that party leaders stand firmly with Mr. Jarkiholi against what he termed a conspiracy to silence the Opposition.
