Madhya Pradesh bureaucrat Neha Marvya has been transferred for the fourth time in a year, prompting her to appeal to the Indian Administrative Service Association over frequent reassignments. Marvya's latest reassignment as managing director of the Scheduled Tribe Finance and Development Corporation occurred less than 50 days after she assumed charge as the Tribal Area Development Project director. The 2011 batch IAS officer wrote in a WhatsApp group that subordinates threatened her and thumped her desk after she issued explanation notices for insubordination and file hoarding. She questioned how officers can function effectively when tenures last only two to three months. Previous administrative disputes involving Marvya include her removal from the Dindori collector post in January 2025 and run-ins with fellow officials in Shivpuri and the revenue department.
