The Madhya Pradesh Police has issued strict new social media and technology guidelines for all personnel in Bhopal. Director General of Police Kailash Makwana released the 24-point directive, which explicitly bars officers from scanning, screenshotting, or uploading confidential government documents onto AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini. The rules also prohibit creating reels in uniform, disclosing sensitive operational locations, and using geo-tagging at high-security workplaces. Furthermore, personnel are restricted from using official identities or uniforms for personal publicity and income generation without prior government approval. Officers have been ordered to immediately remove any existing inappropriate content from platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, X, Instagram, and YouTube.
