Maharashtra Chief Electoral Officer Seeks ECINet Software Changes

The communication sent on September 24 mirrors concerns previously raised by Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi regarding centralized software control. Maharashtra, which is currently undergoing the Special Intensive Revision phase, previously published a draft roll on August 31 that cut 21.1 percent of the state's electors ahead of the November 16 final roll. The Commission has since granted one request, allowing officers to waive hearings for certain logical discrepancies.
