The youth had been standing near the edge of a dangerous cliff for three hours while police and local residents attempted to persuade him to return to safety. When the youth fell, his father attempted to pull him back but lost his balance and plummeted into the quarry. The mother, who witnessed the incident, also fell into the quarry shortly after.
