Parag Shah, one of way's wealthiest BJP legislators, recently spent a full day living as a beggar on the streets of Mumbai. Following the advice of his Jain spiritual guru Namramuni during a significant religious month, Shah left behind his security detail and luxury vehicles to experience life anonymously. During the exercise, he collected alms and consumed food provided by strangers while sitting by the roadside. Shah noted that a local samosa seller gave him food for free even after he claimed to have no money. After removing his makeup, he returned to the same locations to interact with the individuals again and observe the difference in treatment.
